Noreen Dean Dresser’s current series, Crowd Sourcing 2020, examines the COVID 19 plague and our collective response to the invasion.This non-living virus reorders our bodies solely for itself and raises questions as to our collective behaviors.
Part of a Psalms study during Covid 19 with Rabbi Kleinbaum at Congregation Beth Simchat Torah, Dresser is Using fire, ash, twine, copper nails, inks, graphite, paper and wood. Each drawing from Dresser’s read of Psalms, illuminates both the communal and the individual actions.
Dresser's support in disasters and war, through her 32 years of National Service, have afforded her direct observation of the intersection of Civil, social and scientific interest. Dresser has turned her attention to illuminated manuscripts and other sources for this current body of work that address our human agency amidst the accelerating environmental and political crisis. Dresser has exhibited in the Tri-States, California, and Europe and is the Director of Parlour 153, a visual and performing arts salon in Harlem
